The first thing you notice in Tirthan is the sound. There is no horn, no engine, only the river running over stones somewhere below your window. You wake up to cold air that smells of pine and wet wood, and someone in the homestay is already making tea.
This is a 4 Nights 5 Days group trip for people who want a few quiet days in the hills without planning anything. You take an overnight Volvo from Delhi, spend two nights in a wooden homestay or cottage near Jibhi, walk up to Serolsar Lake from Jalori Pass and visit Choiee Waterfall before heading back. A Trip Captain is with the group all the way, and breakfast and dinner on the main days are included.

Tirthan is not a place where you tick off sights. You come here to slow down, and the trip is built around that.
The overnight Volvo leaves Delhi in the evening, and you reach the valley in the morning, a little stiff and very hungry. The first day is easy. You check in, eat a proper breakfast and spend time around Jibhi, which is a small village with wooden cottages, apple trees and paths that go in every direction. Most people end up sitting on a porch for an hour doing nothing, and nobody minds.
On the second day, you drive up to Jalori Pass. From there, you walk through forest to Serolsar Lake, a small, quiet lake in the middle of the trees. The walk is not hard, but it is a real walk, and you will be glad of the tea at the end. If the sky is clear, the viewpoint on the way gives you a wide look at the hills.
The last day is short and easy. You visit Choiee Waterfall, take a few photos, have lunch and start the journey back to Delhi in the evening.
Do not expect nightlife, shopping or fast Wi-Fi. Mobile networks are patchy, and that is part of the point. If you want a few calm days with a friendly group, this trip does that well.
This trip is for people who want a short, quiet break from the city, with a group and without planning. It suits you if you are:
It is not the right trip if you want nightlife, a lot of adventure activities or hotel-style comfort. It is also not for people who cannot walk for a few hours on a forest trail.
You travel with the same group and Trip Captain from Delhi to the valley and back, so you are never alone in a new place.
Volvo, stay, local transport, main meals and a guided trek are covered in one price.
Homestays and cottages near Jibhi, with home-style food.
A guide goes with the group to Serolsar Lake, so you do not need to figure out the trail.
Your captain handles the plan, checks on everyone and decides what works each day.
What is included and what is not is listed on this page, so there are no surprises.

Pickup Point: Kashmiri Gate
Departure Time: Around 7:30 PM

You reach Aut early in the morning and switch to a Tempo or Sumo for the drive to Jibhi. Check in, freshen up and have breakfast. The rest of the day is easy. You walk around Jibhi, explore the nearby paths, Jibhi Waterfall, and spend time by the river. Dinner and night stay in Jibhi.
Important: Early check-in depends on the property. If rooms are not ready, you can leave your bags and have breakfast first.
Stay: Homestay or cottage near Jibhi
Meals: Breakfast and dinner
After breakfast, you drive up to Jalori Pass. From there, a guide leads the group on the forest trail to Serolsar Lake. The walk is about 5 km each way and takes a few hours with stops. The viewpoint on the way gives you a wide look around if the sky is clear. After the lake, you walk back, have a late lunch at a small stall and return to Jibhi in the evening. Dinner and night stay in Jibhi.
Important: Wear shoes with a good grip, and carry water and snacks. The trail can be slippery after rain or snow. The trek is guided, but go at your own pace.
