Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking any trip, tour, or service with Trip Guru Go.
These Terms and Conditions govern your booking and participation in any trip, tour, or service offered by Trip Guru Go. By making a booking or paying a deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the clauses below, on behalf of yourself and everyone in your booking.
Full payment for the trip must be received before the trip begins. Bookings with any pending payment may be cancelled.
Every traveller must show a valid government photo ID before boarding. Boarding is not allowed without one.
Bookings are non-transferable. Only the travellers named when the booking is made may join the trip.
For international trips, your passport must have at least six months of validity from your date of travel.
We do not refund any part of the package that you choose not to use.
Trip prices depend on the number of travellers in a group and may change if the group size changes. Prices are based on rates currently at the time of booking and may rise due to factors outside our control, such as fuel costs, transport fares, or government charges. Any such increase must be paid in full before departure. Early bookings may receive lower prices, while last-minute bookings may cost more.
Trip packages are based on standard or base-category rooms, regardless of the hotel category chosen. Room upgrades, where available, are payable directly at the hotel.
Many of our destinations are in remote mountain areas where luxury or even basic amenities cannot be guaranteed. You should not expect 24-hour electricity, hot water, or Wi-Fi at every property. In hilly regions, water and electricity can be limited, and some hotels supply hot water only at fixed times. We request your understanding and cooperation.
In triple-sharing rooms, an extra mattress is provided. This is not the same as a separate bed.
Camps in locations such as Sarchu, Nubra, Pangong, Jispa, and Chandratal are basic by nature, even where they are offered in different categories. Where camps include attached washrooms, running hot water and electricity may still not be available because of how remote these sites are. As an adventure traveller, please plan for this.
Meals are usually served on a fixed-menu or buffet basis. Items such as snacks, soft drinks, soups, and desserts may not be included and are payable separately.
The vehicle provided is for the planned itinerary only and is not available for personal use.
In hilly regions, vehicles such as Tempo Travellers, Innova, Xylo, Scorpio, or similar will not have air conditioning.
Where a trip includes a Volvo or similar coach from Delhi to the trip's starting point, that service is operated by a third-party vendor. If a breakdown occurs, we will arrange a replacement, but this may take some time.
Lunch and dinner stops on coach journeys are decided by the transport vendor and not by us.
Due to events such as traffic, road blocks, strikes, VIP movement, weather, or other unforeseen causes, vehicle timings may be delayed. Please be patient and board promptly once the vehicle arrives, to avoid further delay.
Please report to the pickup point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. We cannot provide a refund for a departure, transfer, or activity missed because of late arrival.
Please follow the trip program as closely as possible. We cannot offer refunds if you do not join the group on time, leave early, or miss part of the itinerary. If circumstances require, our Trip Captain or operations team may adjust the itinerary on the ground for the safety and benefit of the group.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing by replying to your booking confirmation email. Cancellations are not accepted over phone or WhatsApp.
The advance booking amount is non-refundable. Where eligible, it may be issued as a credit note instead of a cash refund.
Cancellation charges depend on how close to the departure date you cancel and on the trip category. The applicable slabs for your trip will be shared at the time of booking. Cancellation terms may differ during peak seasons and for popular destinations.
If you choose to leave a trip after it has started, for any reason including illness or loss of documents, no refund will be issued for unused services.
If a departure does not receive sufficient bookings, we may, with your consent, transfer your booking to a trusted travel partner operating the same or a substantially similar package at no additional cost to you. Alternatively, you may choose another available departure or receive a refund in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Travel can be affected by events outside anyone's control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, landslides, earthquakes, floods, fire, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, political unrest, or war.
In such situations we will make our best effort to offer an alternative trip, a batch transfer, or a credit note, depending on the trip category and timing. Any refund or credit depends on what our hotel, transport, and other partners are able to return to us, and the final outcome rests with those third-party providers. Any extra costs arising from such events are to be borne by the traveller.
You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit for the trip you book, including any trek or high-altitude travel. Where relevant, please consult a doctor before travelling and be aware of altitude sickness. If you have any medical condition or special requirement, inform us at the time of booking so we can advise whether the trip is suitable. We will try to help but cannot guarantee every requirement can be met.
All travellers must be at least 18 years of age to join a fixed-departure group trip unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, or unless otherwise stated for a specific trip.
We strongly recommend that you arrange your own travel insurance covering health, accident, medical treatment, and trip disruption. Trip Guru Go does not provide insurance and is not responsible for any accident, injury, illness, or medical expense during the trip. If you require medical care or evacuation, the cost is to be borne by you. If a trip is ended for you because of your own conduct, any cost of return or alternative travel is also yours.
Our trips are adventurous by nature and often take place in remote mountain regions where terrain, weather, altitude, road conditions, and the standard of facilities can be unpredictable and different from what you may be used to. By booking, you accept that this kind of travel carries inherent risks and challenges beyond those of a conventional holiday, and that you take part of your own free will and at your own risk.
If a trip includes optional activities including adventure sports that are not part of the set itinerary, you take part in them at your own risk. We are not responsible for the safety, quality, or standard of activities run by independent operators that you choose to join on your own.
Before some trips, especially treks and high-altitude trips, we may ask you to sign a participation and risk-acknowledgement form confirming that you are physically fit, have no undisclosed medical condition, and accept the risks involved.
Your safety, and the safety of the whole group, is our priority, and it depends on everyone cooperating with the team.
The decision of our Trip Captain or operations team is final on any matter affecting the safety or wellbeing of the group. By booking, you agree to follow their reasonable instructions during the trip.
For your safety, please stay with the group and follow the agreed itinerary, meeting points, and timings. We are not responsible for your safety if you leave the group or the planned route on your own.
If, in the judgement of the Trip Captain, it is not safe for you to take part in a particular activity or section of the journey, you may be asked to wait or to continue in the support vehicle. No refund applies in such cases.
Please be aware of altitude sickness on high-altitude trips, and tell the Trip Captain immediately if you feel unwell.
You are responsible for your own belongings throughout the trip. We are not responsible for loss of or theft of personal items.
We want every trip to be safe, respectful, and enjoyable for the whole group. We reserve the right to remove any traveller from a trip, at their own cost and without refund, if their behaviour endangers, disrupts, or harms other travellers, our team, local communities, or property.
The following are strictly prohibited during the trip:
Alcohol: Trip Guru Go does not promote or encourage the consumption of alcohol. Consuming alcohol during the trip, including in vehicles, on the journey, during group activities, and at high altitude, is prohibited on safety grounds.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside vehicles, accommodation rooms, or non-smoking areas, and you must follow local and property rules at all times.
Drugs and banned substances: The use, possession, or carrying of narcotics or any banned substance is strictly prohibited. We accept no responsibility for any consequence arising from it, and it is treated as a serious breach. Trip Guru Go is not liable for any consequences arising from such behavior, including legal or personal repercussions.
Abusive or threatening behaviour: Abusive, threatening, harassing, or offensive language or conduct towards fellow travellers, our team, our partners, or local people will not be tolerated.
Prohibited items: Weapons, fireworks, and hazardous or toxic substances are not allowed on our trips.
Borrow Money: We are not responsible for money borrowed between clients.
Any traveller found in breach of the above may be removed from the trip without refund, and may be reported to the authorities where the law requires it.
Any loss or damage you cause to a campsite, hotel, vehicle, or partner's property is payable by you in full.
You are responsible for your own personal conduct on the trip. Any personal or private interactions between adult travellers are their own responsibility and at their own risk, and Trip Guru Go cannot be held responsible for the private actions of one traveller towards another. At the same time, harassment of any kind, including towards women travellers, will not be tolerated. If it is reported to our team, we will act on it, which may include removing the person responsible from the trip at their own cost and reporting the matter to the authorities.
Government rules require every guest to present a valid government-issued photo ID at hotel check-in, for Indian nationals, for example Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, or Driving Licence; for foreign nationals, passport and visa. Submitting valid ID details through the form shared by your point of contact is mandatory. You are responsible for carrying all documents needed for your trip. If entry to a place is denied due to missing or invalid documents, no refund will be provided.
Trip Guru Go arranges travel and holidays. We do not own or operate the hotels, transport services, camps, or activity providers used on a trip. While we select our partners carefully, we cannot control their actions, and we are not liable for their acts, omissions, or negligence.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any injury, illness, accident, delay, discomfort, loss, theft, or damage to baggage or personal belongings during a trip, including where caused by a third party. Our total liability for any claim relating to a trip is limited to the amount you paid us for that trip.
If your actions during a trip cause loss or damage to us or to any of our partners, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any resulting claims or costs.
We may capture photos, videos, or audio during a trip and use them on our website, social media, and other promotional material. By joining a trip, you consent to this. If you do not wish to appear in such content, please inform the Trip Captain at the start of the trip.
Photos and videos created by our team during a trip are the property of Trip Guru Go and may be used by us for promotion. They may not be used by anyone else for commercial purposes without our written permission.
By booking, you agree to receive booking-related messages from Trip Guru Go by WhatsApp, email, and SMS. Each fixed departure includes a WhatsApp group with travellers, the Trip Captain, and our operations team for coordination and support during the trip.
If you have a concern during the trip, please raise it with your Trip Captain or our operations team straight away so we can try to resolve it. Any formal complaint must be sent to us in writing within 1 day after the trip ends. Complaints received after this period may not be considered.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. In the event of a dispute, both sides will first try to resolve it amicably and in good faith. If it cannot be resolved, the dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi.
