It is recommended to use a waterproof backpack cover or zip-lock bags to protect your electronics during unexpected rain.

Clothing

Pack lightweight clothes that can be layered, as the weather in Meghalaya can change throughout the day. Carry comfortable T-shirts, full-sleeve shirts, trekking pants, a light fleece or jacket, nightwear, extra pairs of socks, and a raincoat or poncho.

Since Meghalaya receives frequent rainfall, quick-dry clothing is highly recommended.

Footwear

Wear comfortable trekking or sports shoes with a good grip, as you'll be walking on forest trails, waterfalls, caves, and uneven paths. Also, carry slippers or flip-flops for use at your hotel or campsite.

Medicines

Carry your regular prescription medicines along with a personal medical kit containing medicines for fever, cold, headache, motion sickness, stomach issues, pain relief, ORS, bandages, antiseptic cream, and mosquito repellent.

If you have any existing medical condition, consult your doctor before travelling.

Keep dry fruits, chocolates, energy bars, biscuits, and other light snacks with you during long sightseeing days.

Adventure Activities

If you plan to participate in activities such as boating, kayaking, cliff jumping, or ziplining, carry an extra pair of clothes, a quick-dry towel, and waterproof bags to keep your belongings safe.
