Carry a 40–50L backpack or duffel bag for your main luggage and a 15–20L day backpack for daily sightseeing. Keep your water bottle, snacks, medicines, rain jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, chargers, and important documents easily accessible.
It is recommended to use a waterproof backpack cover or zip-lock bags to protect your electronics during unexpected rain.
Pack lightweight clothes that can be layered, as the weather in Meghalaya can change throughout the day. Carry comfortable T-shirts, full-sleeve shirts, trekking pants, a light fleece or jacket, nightwear, extra pairs of socks, and a raincoat or poncho.
Since Meghalaya receives frequent rainfall, quick-dry clothing is highly recommended.
